Participation of Voluntary Agencies in Administration of Formal Education: 

A Perspective Study

This study analyses the of voluntary agencies in the field of formal education. It is a treasure house of knowledge regarding the various voluntary organisations providing formal education. However the study is limited to two districts of Karnataka, that is, Chitradurga and Davanagere. The objective of the study is to survey and document various voluntary agencies that are running informal education institutions. To study the various types of activities taken up by these voluntary agencies with reference to their approaches, resources, manpower, management, organizational structure etc., to identify distinct features if any of these educational institutions run by voluntary agencies and compare them with the one’s run by the government.
